This boot is Lighter than the Prime boot and uses model specific PU Plastics that taper in non critical areas. Other plastic are thicker for more support in critical areas. Very Large Calf opening, strong shank and sole with a lower toe box height than the Prime boot. Requires little break in time. Four replaceable buckles,Soft Seal rubber gaitor to keep out the mud/water/dirt.Thick suede leather covers the inner side of the boot guarding it from the exhaust. 2012 AXO Boxer The BOXER is constructed with high quality materials chosen for their weight, strength and value. Optimized plastics are thicker where support and reinforcement are needed and tapered in non-critical areas. A 2 buckle height shin plate wraps across the shin and instep to completely guard the front of the foot. Internally stitched lateral and medial support panels are applied to the boot over both ankles which resists side to side rotation while allowing the natural twist the ankle joint needs to naturally reposition itself to center. Instep panels are long enough to fit a wider range of calf and leg sizes. A tapered vinyl and foam gaiter wraps the top of the boot offering a barrier which resists dirt from entering. 4 replaceable PU molded buckles float on their bases allowing unrestricted alignment. The durable synthetic boot material resists wear, requires less breaking and retains its shape longer. A “D” width sculpted and shaped wrapping toe box incorporates slip resistant shifter ridges. Thick suede leather covers the inner side of the boot guarding it from heat and wear. The steel shank, molded mid-sole and replaceable foot peg insert adds comfort and support. AXO’s own sole is attached to the upper using a time tested welted construction. A Stain resistant Mesh lining is combined with durable synthetics providing a non-slip interior. The FREEDOM GT Waterproof Touring boot is a unique blend of modern materials, construction and design with a time tested fit, function and attention to detail. The FREEDOM GT utilizes a PU coated synthetic outer construction, which resists breaking down, deformation and thickness irregularities found in a natural material. The unique closure system is achieved by using the new BOA TECHNOLOGY ratcheting spool and stainless steel lace. The center lacing floats over the padded and supportive tongue. Synthetic stretch panels flex and wrap the instep, heel and upper calf areas perfectly. Durable suede leather panels cover the medial side of the FREEDOM GT guarding the boot and the bike from wear and abrasion. The shin, heel cap and calf panel use a pressure molded PU plate offering support and safety against impacts. The shin plate and instep use a full coverage hook and loop closure to seal the front from wind and weather. A soft rubber gaiter is utilized over the shin plate to seal the front of the boot against the leg or pant. Laid over the top of the instep and toe box, the shifter pad is thick enough to reduce irritation yet allows complete dexterity when shifting. AXO’s own injection molded sole is aggressive enough to grip while walking yet glides on the foot pegs when riding. The plastic mid sole and sole offer the correct amount of support reducing fatigue and guarding the bottom of the foot while riding. Mesh lining and internal padding wrap your foot in comfort.
